His famous work, Mathnawi or the Poem in Rhyming Couplets,  have remained unchallenged in Turkish sufi poetry. Mawlana’s famous sentence, “even if the forests were pans and the ocean inkindicates clearly that Mathnawi is without end, alluding to the Qur’anic claim that God’s words are without end.
