There is no doubt that Mawlānā Jalāl Al-Dīn Al-Rūmī is most highly regarded of all Sufi poets. Annemarie Schimmel described his importance as follows: “If there were ever an inspired writter among Muslim mystics, it was certainly Jalaluddīn.” His literary output was great and he was also important for being the suppposed founder of the brotherhood if the Whirling Dervishes called Mawlawis due to his title, Mawlānā, which means ‘our master’.
His famous work, Mathnawī or the Poem in Rhyming Couplets,  have remained unchallenged in Turkish mystical poetry. Mawlānā’s famous sentence, “even if the forests were pans and the ocean inkindicates clearly that Mathnawī is without end, alluding to the Qur’anic claim that God’s words are without end.
There have been a lot of works both on Mawlānā and his books. Surely, Emine Yeniterzi’s book, too, is one of these. It has received wide acception among Turkish readers.
